.
I have a great couple who are the people I work for and they are off to a wedding next week so they asked me to make card for them. So here is what I made...
I created the wording on my computer in a slight grey scale colour which when printed sort of resembles silver. The font I've used here is called Carnival Display (available free for download from FreeFonts - great site so you much check it out). I cut into a 9x9cm square, added ribbon, gems and the flower and mounted onto silver mirri card and fixed with foam pads.
I then printed CONGRATULATIONS, cut and mounted with foam pads again and again added the gems. Really quick card.
For the inside I used white and cream patterned velum folded around the white insert for a bit of luxury.
Have a great day one and all.

MELLOW YELLOW
.
I recently got a new pack of patterned papers called Up, Up & Away by Limited Edition Papers as a present from a friend and I love them. New papers gets me wanting to make something straight away so I made up this card...
Nothing fancy here, I just wanted the papers to speak for themselves.
take care all

MORE FELT FUN
.
Today I thought I'd share another couple of cards made using my little felt creatures! These are a couple more of the designs from the same down loadable template book I used previously with the elephant. These are just so nice to make. This one is a wee moo cow.
To colour the cheeks I've used my copics although probably not the best thing to use but its all I have at present. This time I made a step card for depth. I hand cut all the grass edging as you can probably tell! The fancy edging is a new die from spellbinders that I bought last week.
Isn't he just super cute! This one didn't seem to take quite so long as my first attempt, I'm getting the hang of these now. The cutting is a bit fiddly though in places.
Once again I've made this into a badge that is detachable from the card so it can be worn by fixing a broach pin on the reverse side. I also made a little box for the card too as its way too deep for an envelope.
I then made up a little bunny and fixed a broach pin to the back again. I've put together a much simpler card for her to sit on.....
There are loads of patterns in this little booklet that I downloaded from an Etsy store. All the instructions however are in Japanese but essentially its just cutting and sewing so its fairly straight forward. I'm now running out of felt so will have to wait for a while to have another go at some more designs.
Have a great day.

OH BUGGER, I MISSED IT
.
I have a really bad memory when its comes to events and even writing things down on a calender means nothing when it comes to getting birthday and anniversary cards out to people on time! Organising things, planning things and getting the job done when I'm at work is no problem. At home sadly its a different matter - I have NO IDEA why that is. I have forgotten my sisters birthdays for the last 5 years running but ask me to organise an event for 100+ people at work - I can do it in my sleep - what IS the matter with me!?
I have tried to organise my cards in date order all ready to go when needed and yet I still manage to mess it up on occasion.
This is the reason for this card which was made in great haste and was sent three whole days late - arrrhhhhh! Because I make cards people expect a handmade jobbie to drop through their letterbox so here is my super quickie card to that someone (who knows who they are!) that I forgot AGAIN!.
The designer paper is from SEI (starting to become an obsession with me with their paper range!). I cut the butterfly from another sheet of their paper. The cardstock is 'kraft' and both this and the sentiment is from PTI.
Until next time...

Due to the efficiency of the snail mail around these parts, it will eventually end up being 5 days late - usually the time most people take their cards down! However, at least mine will be the only one on display for a while longer than the others they will have got..... Hey now there's an idea to make yourself stand out from the crowd.... send everything late so that you are the only one left standing! That will be my excuse from now on.

BIG BABY BIRTHDAY WISHES
.
Well its another day and another card. Sticking with my Prisma pencils and Copic markers I decided to try this new little stamp from Lili of the Valley.
Have a great one.

Isn't it an adorable stamp!
I used some kraft cardstock for the base with DP from a Glittered stack from DCWV. The sentiment and little snail are both PTI as are the little buttons I've added.
Have a great one.

TRYING SOMETHING NEW
.
I sometimes get a little bee in my bonnet and get bored with the same old card making. I fancy trying something new and whilst routing through my draws I came across some felt that I bought yonks ago and have never used. I wanted to refresh my sewing skills (never very good but can get by!) and bought a couple of templates on line to have a try with. Here is my first attempt at making this cutie....
Once he was call cut out and sewn up (took a bit of time but worth it) I set about making up a card to mount him on.
Once the card was completed, I made up and decorated a box for it to go in and I was finished. I am so so pleased with this one.

I used the sentiment and elephant stamp from a new set I got from PTI.
To make him worth keeping, I fixed a broach pin to the back of my little fella to make him into a badge. I punched through the layers on the card front to make some holes to fit the back of the pin and then fixed it to the front of the card.
Seemed such a shame to just plonk him on the front of a card which will end up in the bin after a few days on the mantle.
I have a few more patterns to try out so will share once I've made some more. I made this whole card and the badge in an evening in front of the telly so was pretty quick really and I'm sure with more practice it will be even quicker.
Have a good one all!

GONE FISHING
.
Hi Everyone
Hope you're having a good weekend. I have another card today using a really cute little stamp from Lili of the Valley again, called Gone Fishing.
I've used my Copics and Prisma pencils again to colour him and the cardstock and designer papers are a mixture of PTI, DCWV and SEI.
I really love the little stamps from this company, they have some really great images and I only came across them browsing the Internet one day. Boy and men cards can be notoriously difficult to do but this image just yelled out to me. So cute!

A LITTLE DOTTY
.
Hi All
I recently found some 8x8 cards so thought I'd try them out. I am not usually a large card person so this was new for me. I find it a bit daunting trying to fill up such a large space so started with something simple.

I am pleased with how this turned out. All stamps used were PTI, as is the cardstock and patterned paper. Quick and simple - my favourite type of card!
