CHEEKY MONKEY

I'm on a roll, its yet another Cricut Create a Critter for you today folks.  This cheeky chappie was just too cute not to use him somehow.

I had the perfect sentiment for him too from Tiny Treats Birthday set (PTI).

The banana was a little tricky to handle because it was so small but I had to try
to keep the proportions balanced.

Pop back soon, I am working on some more!

FAIRY TALES

The weather is truly terrible today, its been pouring with rain for the last couple of days non-stop and today is my day off work so what to do?!

My Cricut machine is a fairly new but little used purchase so I had the urge to get it out for a play.  I decided to try the the sand castle from the Create a Critter cartridge (the only cartridge I own at present!) but wanted to use it as a little princess palace instead. Apologies for the poor picture quality, it seems almost dark outside despite having all the lights on indoors.

Once it was cut and assembled, I added some roofing using my Friskars scissors and layered them on the top and smaller turrets.  I glittered up the windows using some ultra fine Prisma glitter and a Zig glue pen and then drew in a port cullis.

I wanted more dimension so I added some brick work lines using my pokey tool and a ruler.  I then added a couple of flags and glittered these.

I stamped and coloured the princess image using PTI's Tiny Treats Birthday set and coloured with Copics.

Super Cute!

Have a great day and I hope the weather is a lot better with you than it is with me!

CAGED

Hi All

Blimey I'm on a roll! this is my second post of the day!

I was so excited when I finished this that I had to share it straight away!  Hubby is out playing golf so I have the morning to myself - needless to say my craft room was calling me and as Easter is fast approaching, I spent this very lazy Sunday morning making a little bird cage.

How Super Cute is this!

When I saw the template for this I just had to have a go myself - I thought it was adorable and I am really pleased with how it turned out.  It did take a while to cut out all the components but the putting together was pretty quick.

I wrapped ribbon around the top of the cage and just added a button to the centre.

I used PTI's Fine Linen cardstock for the cage and then punched out a load of leaves on my Spellbinder and hand cut some branches and starting playing around on where to put them.

The top is separate to the base so that you can add what you want inside it.

My little ducks kindly provided the contents for me this morning!

I found the template on Lauren Meaders Site and it can be purchased for $5.00.  Its well worth it!

Have a great day all!
Hugs
