WEDDING CARD NO. 2 - the FINAL version

I know that I already made a card for the wedding, but then I decided to make another one!  This is what I eventually gave to them....

Yep, another explosion box.  Love these things.

This one took a lot of work and was pretty fiddly to do but I think it was worth it.
I have had these chipboard hearts for AGES and finally I used them... these were almost binned a few weeks ago when I had a clear out, glad that I kept them now.

The quote I put on one of the side sleeves.

and finally the lid.

Take care

FLOWER POWER

Another flowery card to show you today. Apologies for the quality of the pictures, my camera seems to be playing up a bit and it just refuses to take a picture most of the time.  I can hear a funny noise when its trying to focus so I guess its needs looking at.  I think in fact it needs a rest, I took over 600 pictures at my friends wedding a few weeks ago so perhaps it's trying to tell me to leave it alone for a while!

Now, back to the card...

I think mauve and green are a fab colour combination and as I've used this a lot on the wedding stationery recently I have bits left over which I've used here.

All stamp images are PTI as is the base cardstock.

Must dash, just watching some things on eBay and I don't want to miss out on them.

Catch you soon.

SNAPSHOTS FROM A WONDERFUL DAY

Hi All

Seeing as I've shared everything else with you to do with this wedding I've been working on, thought I'd show you a few snapshots of the day itself now that I've had a chance to download them....

Here's one of my table plans all set up in the marquee along with a shot
of the couple holding hands leaving the church after the ceremony.

Hard at work preparing - me and my friends Sue (the brides mother) and Lianne folding napkins in
Sue's kitchen - this took HOURS!  The wrapped packages are all the menus,
bunched by table ready to be slotted in.

An almost finished job - just the silver wear, chair covers and sashes to go.  How fab does this look!

A shot of the wedding cake which was made by the grooms mum and grandmother and the table
centre pieces waiting to be placed on the tables.  Kindly note my table name cards!

The finished article.

I can't believe how lucky I was to get this totally un-staged shot which I took without them knowing.  Within a few seconds they all moved so the shot was gone.  I was just going to take a picture of the view from the marquee and as I turned, there they were.  We had placed chairs and tables outside along with a load of hay bales and as you can see, they were put to good use!

The bride and groom arriving at the reception in a fabulous horse and carriage that was a surprise for them from the brides parents.

AND FINALLY...

The LAST dance... this was taken when virtually everyone had gone home and I could not miss this one.
I am surprised at how well this came out... it was 3.30 in the morning and we had been
drinking and partying all day!

It was a really fab day and I have a bucket load of pics to sort through now.  I am making albums for the bride and groom and both sets of parents and grandparents as keepsakes so I've got a lot of work to go.

That's all folks

have a good one.

BLOOMIN MARVELOUS

Hi all

Its the weekend and the weather is pretty lousy here in a very un-sunny Wales so I had some time to make a card this morning when I should have been doing the washing!

I love the colour combinations and a bit of glitz never hurt anyone!

I used a Marion Emerson stamp for the background, some of my bargain flowers, a few gems and some bright blue seam binding.

Have a great weekend.

WEDDING CONGRATULATIONS

Just wanted to quickly show you the card that I made from us to the happy couple.  I had seen  a similar card to this somewhere a while ago but on a layered card and loved it so have used the main elements from it here.  However I can't remember who's design this is, so I am sorry to who ever that was!

I decided on a slighter simpler design and just mounted the heart shape onto the card after I'd added all the buttons to it.  I stamped the sentiment and added a coloured self adhesive gem on it (Prima) and then just rounded the corners of the card.

For the inside I used a double layer insert, the outer being a lovely shimmer patterned paper from DCWV and the inner some purple cardstock.

Wedding is tomorrow and been busy all week helping get things finished at the church and in the marquee so off to bed now as totally cream crackered. Gotta be up early tomorrow and it will be a long but fab day I am sure. Fingers crossed very tightly for a good weather.

Take care all.
