ANOTHER CRICUT CARD

.
Having only used my Cricut machine a few times in recent months and managing to make one single little card, I tried again and this is what I created with the giraffe from Create a Critter cartridge...

I had some lovely glittered papers and had a scrap left so used this for the giraffe.  A paper edge punch, a few buttons and a sentiment was all that I felt it needed to complete the card.  Oh and a tiny goggle eye so he could see!

Must try to get more done with this machine now that I've invested in it.  Practice makes perfect as my old school teacher used to tell me.... constantly!!

A BIT OF A CASE

.
Ever get stuck for inspiration?  I know I do and when that happens, I look to other talented people to help me out of it.  Hence these cards which are a design by Nicole Heady and I just loved it.

I then tried it in another colour.

Hope you're having a good day.

SHORT AND SWEET POST

.
A very quick post today.  A card I made up yesterday using Guide Lines stamp set (PTI) for the background in a very basic pattern!

Catch you soon!

WITH SYMPATHY

.
I occasionally get asked to make up some cards like this so here is one I made for a craft fair I will at later in the year.

I used some pale cream cardstock and stamped a pattern around the edge with a selection from the Flutterby Friend stamp set (PTI).

I cut out one of the Spellbinder Labels dies in kraft cardstock and inked the edge in white and then added the sentiment and the gorgeous little butterfly.  Attached this to the card with foam pads and threaded with the ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by.

PRETTY IN PINK

.
Some repeat stamping today.  This is from a new set from PTI that I recently purchased called Tiny Tags.  They are so cute.  I used a couple of the tag stamps and made a pattern with them in snow white ink and then with a versamark inkpad, added the words in each.  Where there was a few gaps I used a little heart stamp to plug the holes!

I think it looks really pretty.  Cardstock and sentiments all PTI.

FELT PATTERNS - WHERE TO GET THEM

.

I've been asked where I got the patterns for my little stuffed cow and elephant.  I bought these as an E-Book from Etsy.  They are in Japanese but you can generally figure out how to put them together, its pretty straight forward.  I got mine from a lady called Natalia Lujan.  However, I cannot seem to find her shop at the mo!
They were only $3.00 for each book and they had loads of patterns in them.

Try searching for felt doll patterns, felt mascots or Japanese felt patterns.  Hope this helps!

MORE NEW THINGS - A BIT OF DECOUPAGE

.
I got another gift this week, a pack of decoupage papers, some mats and tags.  I have to admit this is really not something I've tried before and wasn't planning to either!  However, now that I have them, just gotta go with it.  They are from a range by Sarah Kay.

Using my 8x8 cards, I started with this simply one...

Then I got the hang of it and did this one...

and finally this one....

I have to confess, they passed a relaxed few hours in front of the TV.  I layered these using silicone glue (no way was I fussing with those tiny foam pads!) and I quite enjoyed myself.  Nice to try something new.  I was given about 12 sheets with three different images on each to play with so these will pop up again at some point in the future.

Thanks for checking in with me.  Have a great day.
