BLACK IS BACK

A quickie post to share today.

I do think that black and white cards just shout 'class', it makes anything look elegant.

A QUICK BATCH

I was running a little low on general cards so to speed things up a little, I just used the same design with different sentiments.

A closer look at the basic design...

The whole selection - all sentiments are from PTI, cardstock is from a collection by First Edition.

Thanks for stopping by.

PRETTY GIRL

Another sewing creation today.  This is the first one of this style I have made, its usually sheep and rabbits!

I made the little socks and added some rose trimming.

LOVE the hair.

Have a great day.

FEATHER LITE

I fancied a bit of embossing today, I haven't done any for ages and I don't know why I don't use it more often because I love the effect.

I also really like this stamp set from PTI so with this and a few scraps of cardstock it ended up looking like this...

Clean and simple, just the way I like em.

FLY ME TO THE MOON

I was asked for a card of a little boy recently and this is what I came up with.  I love the DP and image is pretty cool too.

I used a mixture of Copics, pencils and PanPastels to colour the image.  I saw someone using PanPastels recently and I'd never heard of them before.  I bought three in shades of blue to give it a try and they are FAB to work with.  They are little pricey but they go a long way and are so easy to blend.

I stuck a couple of strips of thin double-sided tape to the patterned paper and then glittered over it and added a touch to the flame too.

PASTEL PRACTICE

Thought it was about time I tried out my PanPastels again, not used them for ages (since I bought them in fact!).

I am terrible for buying things on impulse and then either only using them once or putting them away and forgetting about them all together!  I've put my PanPastels on my desk now where I can see them and reach them easily.  They are so much easier to work with than ink and a blending tool - I do struggle to get a nice even coat with those but not with my pastels.
