CHEEKY MONKEY

I'm on a roll, its yet another Cricut Create a Critter for you today folks.  This cheeky chappie was just too cute not to use him somehow.

I had the perfect sentiment for him too from Tiny Treats Birthday set (PTI).

The banana was a little tricky to handle because it was so small but I had to try
to keep the proportions balanced.

Pop back soon, I am working on some more!

ANOTHER CRICUT CARD TO SHARE

I'm really getting into these now.  I loved this octopus but couldn't decide how to display him on the card.  In the end I choose the goldfish bowl and I think it worked well.

I had run out of acetate so I had to use vellum for the bowl itself and once I'd stuck all the bits to it, remembered you can see glue through it but I managed to hide most of the adhesive except a tiny blob at the top left corner and the base.

For the sentiment I used a few different stamps from PTI and just inked the words that I wanted.  Those little Brilliance tear drop ink pads are perfect for that.

I am going to a craft fair over the Easter bank holiday which is being hosted in aid of Healing the Wounds, a Welsh armed forces charity raising funds to help with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) for people who have been mentally traumatised in conflict.  A great charity and one which I support.  So I am making up a whole bunch of stuff to sell and hope to raise lots of cash.  This will be one of those cards I hope someone wants to take home with them.

FAIRY TALES

The weather is truly terrible today, its been pouring with rain for the last couple of days non-stop and today is my day off work so what to do?!

My Cricut machine is a fairly new but little used purchase so I had the urge to get it out for a play.  I decided to try the the sand castle from the Create a Critter cartridge (the only cartridge I own at present!) but wanted to use it as a little princess palace instead. Apologies for the poor picture quality, it seems almost dark outside despite having all the lights on indoors.

Once it was cut and assembled, I added some roofing using my Friskars scissors and layered them on the top and smaller turrets.  I glittered up the windows using some ultra fine Prisma glitter and a Zig glue pen and then drew in a port cullis.

I wanted more dimension so I added some brick work lines using my pokey tool and a ruler.  I then added a couple of flags and glittered these.

I stamped and coloured the princess image using PTI's Tiny Treats Birthday set and coloured with Copics.

Super Cute!

Have a great day and I hope the weather is a lot better with you than it is with me!

WISH BIG

Hi All

Hope you're having a great day!

I made up a card for a birthday and wanted to use some of my new stash of PTI cardstock and stamps. I love this new colour from them. It's called Fine Linen.  The patterned paper is from their range called Everyday Blessings and I have lots of it because blue is one of my favourtite colours.

I punched the Fine Linen cardstock with a Martha Stewart punch and I used matching ribbon around it.  The sentiment is from their Big & Bold Wishes set.

I used a couple of rhine stone embellishments on the ribbon and along the bottom edge of the card for balance with some flowers to finish it off.

Take Care
