FLY ME TO THE MOON

I was asked for a card of a little boy recently and this is what I came up with.  I love the DP and image is pretty cool too.

I used a mixture of Copics, pencils and PanPastels to colour the image.  I saw someone using PanPastels recently and I'd never heard of them before.  I bought three in shades of blue to give it a try and they are FAB to work with.  They are little pricey but they go a long way and are so easy to blend.

I stuck a couple of strips of thin double-sided tape to the patterned paper and then glittered over it and added a touch to the flame too.

PASTEL PRACTICE

Thought it was about time I tried out my PanPastels again, not used them for ages (since I bought them in fact!).

I am terrible for buying things on impulse and then either only using them once or putting them away and forgetting about them all together!  I've put my PanPastels on my desk now where I can see them and reach them easily.  They are so much easier to work with than ink and a blending tool - I do struggle to get a nice even coat with those but not with my pastels.

BO BO

Let me introduce Bo Bo.  I finished her a few weeks ago and I have not yet been able to part with her.  I am planning a craft fair soon so I am very busy trying to get as many things made as possible, my craft room really looks a sight!

The jacket is made from heavy weight felt and with the scraps I punched out some flowers and layered them up.

and finally the shoes... these are just too cute!

Happy Easter!

MASKING IT

I recently bought some new Spellbinder dies in a special bundle offer and this mask was amongst them - I had to use it straight away I thought it was fabulous.

Close up....

It was a little tricky to get it out of the die after I'd cut it but it was worth the effort I think.

I'm off to beach to walk to dog. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

A SONG IN YOUR HEART

A card I whipped up earlier today, such a cute little stamp set.

A closer look....

Hubby is away golfing with the boys so I am making the most of my favourite TV programmes, homemade lasagne (he hates pasta!) and right now, a giant bar of Galaxy - what could be better!

Catch up with you soon.

ELLIS

Hi all

I've been at the sewing machine again with another little bunny.  This chappie is called Ellis.

I fell in love with the fabric I used for his dungarees. Its covered in little snails, snakes, bugs and beetles.  Just the kind of things that boys like to mess about with!

Thanks for visiting.  Have a great weekend.

WONDERFUL FRIEND

Wow its cold here this morning, the temperatures taken a real dive the last couple of days and we have a sprinkle of snow again (love snow, but not when I have to get in the car and go somewhere, then its not so nice!)

Anyway a very quick card I made using some card scraps, Spellbinder dies and a fabric button...

I rarely throw anything out and keep even little cut off bits and bob's, they came in handy for this card.

IT'S NICE TO BE BACK

Hi All, I can't believe how long its been since I posted anything, how time flys!

We've had terrible trouble with our internet access but finally it seems to be sorted and stable enough to actually get online.  Its been a hectic few months with a new job, decorating the house, a stinking cold that took weeks to get rid off and even squeezed in a trip to Russia for 3 days for my birthday but I have managed to make a few things in amongst all that, I've just not been able to tell you about them!

Here's a card I made using a new Magnolia stamp I bought with some PTI DP and mirror card.

A few close ups....

Lots more to share so pop back soon!  Thanks to all those that been visiting and for your comments whilst I've been out of action - I really do appreciate each and every one.

POPPY

I saw this pattern and it had to be done!  I think pigs are so cute anyway and boy do they taste good too!  I was going to sell her but my friend mentioned in passing how much she liked her so this is being put to one side for a little birthday present this week.

The legs are a little tricky though, they have to be positioned and stitched in just the right place so that the body sits straight and at the right sort of angle.

Front view, although a bit out of focus!

To give her a bit of definition, I inked along her back, belly and legs with some Tim Holtz distress inks and a  paintbrush.

BIG BUCK

A found some fine, brown cordury fabric a while ago and it was crying out to  be made into some dungarees.  I made an extra large bunny for this one by photocopying the pattern and increasing by 70% so this chappie is BIG and I love him!

The hat is made from heavyweight brown linen fabric which I only had a small sample of so a
hat was about all I could make from it - waste not, want not as they say!

I wanted to dress him up a bit so I made a tie for him too.

Hope you're having a good week and recovering from Christmas fever!
