Start of another year and I am already on the first of this years birthday cards.  A friend of ours is turning 50 this week so wanted to make up a little card for her.

I had just taken delivery of a new bunch of Anna Griffin papers and was itching to use them so this was the base of the design.  I had a scrap of purple frilly ribbon left over from another project and I thought the pale colours of the paper needed a real punch of bright colour so used the ribbon here.

I hope you had a fab time with your families over the Christmas period.  How many resolutions have already been broken I wonder?!!  One of mine was to get back on the old diet again, but seeing as I haven't actually started it yet, technically I haven't broken mine so far.... it will happen though I know that for certain!

Take care

  1. LOVE this! That gold 50 is perfect and that punch of color. . .divine! That background paper is stunning! Wishing you a stellar New Year! Best, Curt

  2. Happy New Year Zoe!! As always, a very elegant card, I use to be addicted to Anna Griffin products - I bought anything & everything that had her name on it....all sold on ebay now lol One of my things to do (I won't use the word resolution because I always break those haha) is to make & send birthday cards this year, last year I hardly did any - not good for a crafter!! xxx
